Custom Channel Manager Integration Hub for an Independent Hotel Group

Overview

Built a custom integration hub connecting an independent hotel group's property management system, channel manager, and direct booking engine so availability and rates stay synchronized across every platform automatically. Before this, staff were manually updating rates and blocking inventory across several booking sites whenever availability changed, which occasionally led to overbooking when updates lagged behind actual demand. The hub pushes updates in near real time and includes an alert system that flags any platform that stops syncing correctly, so staff catch integration issues before they turn into a double-booked room. We built the system around the group's existing vendor stack rather than requiring a switch to new booking or channel management software. Staff at an independent hotel group were manually updating rates and blocking inventory across several booking sites whenever availability changed, occasionally leading to overbooking when updates lagged behind actual demand. We built a custom integration hub connecting the group's PMS, channel manager, and direct booking engine so availability and rates sync automatically in near real time, with an alert system flagging any platform that stops syncing correctly. We mapped every platform in the group's existing vendor stack and how rate updates actually flowed, and sometimes stalled, between them before building the sync layer. The hub ran in parallel with manual updates for two weeks, comparing outcomes, before staff fully trusted it as the sole update method. The overbooking incidents that had been happening from manual rate and availability updates lagging across booking channels are gone, replaced by near-real-time sync with automatic alerts if anything stops working.
