Overview

Built a digital menu and QR ordering platform for a quick-service restaurant chain looking to speed up table service without adding staff during peak hours. Guests scan a code at their table to view the full menu with photos and order directly, with orders routing straight to the kitchen display system and payment handled in the same flow. This reduced the bottleneck at the counter during rush periods and gave the chain a way to test menu changes and pricing instantly across every location from one admin panel. The platform was built to also support easy translation into the chain's most commonly requested languages given its diverse customer base. A quick-service restaurant chain needed to speed up table service without adding staff during peak hours, with the counter becoming a bottleneck during rush periods. We built a digital menu and QR ordering platform where guests scan a code to view the full menu with photos and order and pay directly, with orders routing straight to the kitchen display system, and an admin panel letting the chain test menu and pricing changes instantly across every location. We piloted the QR ordering flow at one high-traffic location during peak hours first, measuring counter wait times before and after, before rolling it out chain-wide. Multi-language support was added based on the chain's most commonly requested languages from customer feedback. Average counter wait time during peak hours dropped by an estimated 30%, and the chain can now update menu pricing across every location instantly from one admin panel instead of location-by-location changes.
